SK Rapid Wien and Turkish Airlines have entered into a new partnership. As of now, Turkish Airlines will serve as the official airline partner of SK Rapid GmbH. Daniela Bauer, Managing Director of Economics at SK Rapid GmbH, is looking forward to the beginning of the cooperation and says: „With Turkish Airlines and SK Rapid, two legendary brands in their respective fields are now connecting, each in their own way, Vienna and Europe.“ The partnership also includes the presentation of Turkish Airlines at home games at the Allianz Stadium. Thus, the company will be presented on the LED advertising boards as well as on cam-carpets next to the goals. The Rapid family can look forward to special offers for flight tickets all over the world. In the previous season, Turkish Airlines was already an international guarantee of success for Grün-Weiß, with the arrival and departure for the away games against Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir ending with a 1-0 and 2-1 away win. Serkan Özbüyükyörük, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Vienna, explains: „We are very pleased to sign a sponsorship agreement with SK Rapid, one of the oldest football clubs in Austria.“ Turkish Airlines was founded in 1933 and is a member of the Star Alliance. Today, the airline has a fleet of 522 passenger and cargo aircraft and serves 356 destinations worldwide.
