SK Rapid Wien has signed 18-year-old ÖFB talent Adrian Riegel from Hoffenheim's youth academy. Riegel will join the club's second team in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga. The young forward has signed a contract until 2029. Riegel moved to Hoffenheim's youth academy in 2024 from St. Pölten's academy. He has played for ÖFB youth national teams on several occasions. Most recently, he played for the U19 team in October 2025, scoring two goals in a 3-1 win against Israel. "I'm very happy that the transfer was successful. With Adrian, we're not only getting a promising talent, but also real power for the offensive flank. I trust him a lot here and am looking forward to seeing how he develops with us," said sports director Markus Katzer. Riegel himself said: "I'm very happy to be back in my hometown and to play for Grün-Weiß in the future. I want to establish myself as quickly as possible with Rapid II and help the team with my qualities on the pitch."
