SK Rapid Wien starts preparation for the new season 2026/27. Coach Johannes Hoff Thorup plans test matches and a summer training camp in Freistadt. The first team of SK Rapid Wien will be on summer break before returning to action on July 23. The preparation will start with test matches on June 18. The first public team training at the Körner Training Center powered by VARTA will be on Friday, June 19 at 11:00 am. At least six test matches are planned before the start of the season, which will be finalized in the coming days. The summer training camp has already been booked and will take place in the Mühlviertel, at the Hotel Freigold in Freistadt. On the arrival day (Sunday, July 5, 2026) and on the return day (Sunday, July 12, 2026) two test matches (subject to change) are planned at 3:00 pm and 5:15 pm. The exact match schedules will be announced shortly, with the following confirmed: In the Forstenlechner Arena in Perg, a capital city derby against Rapid Bucharest will take place at 5:15 pm, while in Wels, a match against the home team of the Huber-Arena, FC Hertha Wels, will kick off at 3:00 pm. On the third weekend of July, an international friendly match will be held at the Allianz Stadium, with negotiations currently underway with various international clubs. We will keep you updated.
