SK Rapid Wien has secured the services of Sophie Hoke, a promising local defensive talent. The 18-year-old defender has signed a contract until 2028 with the Hütteldorferinnen. Hoke began her football career at Sportunion Mauer and further developed in the ÖFB Women's Academy. In the current season, she made 22 appearances in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga and was regularly part of the starting lineup at FC Blau-Weiß Linz / Union Kleinmünchen.
The future player of SK Rapid Wien has also made a name for herself on the international stage. She has been involved in various Austrian youth national teams and received an invitation to a development camp for the Women's A National Team last summer. Additionally, she will participate in the U19 European Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Steffen Hofmann, coach of SK Rapid Wien, expressed his excitement about the signing: "Sophie is a talent we have had on our radar for a while. Her consistently strong performances in Linz and her call-up to the ÖFB youth teams speak for themselves. At 18, she already brings impressive maturity, and we are convinced that she will take the next step in Hütteldorf."
Sophie Hoke herself expressed her enthusiasm about the move: "I am proud to wear the SK Rapid jersey in the future. I look forward to celebrating successes with the team and growing in this professional environment."
The signing of Sophie Hoke is another step towards strengthening the women's team of SK Rapid Wien. Fans can eagerly follow the development of the player and hope for many successful years in the green-white jersey.
